a One Day Bike Ride to Jawhar – Triambak – Vaitarna circuit on 2nd August,
2015.
Event Details:
Type: Bike Ride
Route: Thane – Wada – Jawhar (Off-Roading Route) – Triambak – Vaitarna Dam – Ghoti - Thane
Total Distance: 300 Kms app.
Jawhar is a hill station located at an altitude of 518m. It is about 80 kms from Nasik and 180 kms away from Mumbai. Situated in the Thane district, Jawhar is known for its picturesque setting and a vibrant cultural heritage. It is also known as the Mahabaleshwar of Thane district. It is one of the very few tribal kingdoms in Maharashtra and is famous for its vibrant Warli paintings that are a characteristic landmark of this place.
Trimbakeshwar - one of the holy places of not only Maharashtra but the whole India is near Nashik. Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India & also the origin place of migty river 'Godavari'.
Vaitarana Dam & Backwaters - Vaitarna Dam is situated on Vaitarna River and is a major source of water supply to Mumbai. The backwaters of the dam offer lots of wet excitement as tourists can have fun and frolic in the nature-blessed surroundings. he background of the stunning peaks and troughs of the Western Ghats makes the place look absolutely heavenly when the skies open up.

COST: The Costing of the event will be on Actuals.
TMI Riders will initially pay for the food and accommodation of all the participants which will be equally divided among every member including leaders.
Expertise Charges: Every member of the ride will be charged INR 300 as expertise.
Expected Expenses: INR 1200 per person (excluding Petrol/ Maintenance)

Petrol and Maintenance cost should be settled by the bike owner and the person accompanying him.
Pillion Assistance: TMI Riders will provide info about a willing participant who can accompany you, and share the expenses. this depends on availability of such willing participants.)

It will be raining these days, so pack your bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. Double pack your valuables in plastic bags.
Note: Bibs are compulsory.. Riders from earlier rides can carry their bibs. Bibs can also be provided @ INR 200 per bib.

Medical Disclaimer: It is most essential to be fit and fine before heading for riding. While planning your riding trip, it is preferable to have a medical fitness check up done. If suffering from any kind of allergy or ailment, do carry proper prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, sever headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia.
