We, at Trek Mates, have organized a pleasant one day trek to Sagargad on 11th Oct.
Some info about the trek:
Region : Alibaug
Height : 452mts - 1357ft
Grade : Easy
Sagargad, also known as Khed Durg lies in the Alibaug Region. The Sagargad fort can be accessed from Alibaug. This fort can be seen from the Alibaug-Pen road and is identified by the Vanartok Pinnacle which stands adjacent to the fort. History wise, not much is known about this fort, except that this fort was one of those given by Shivaji Maharaj to the Mughals in the Treaty of Purandar.
The tentative itinerary for the Trek is as given below:
Reach CST by 6.30 AM.
The meeting point is Gateway of India at 7.00 AM .
We will have cataraman at 7.15 AM till Mandva jetty.
It will take 45 mins to sail through the sea.
From Alibaug we will proceed further by rickshaw.
Will visit the fort and do sightseeing.
We will return back to Mumbai by Launch/S.T.
The cost of the trek is Rs.300 per head, which includes
breakfast,
tea,
traveling from Gateway of India to Sagargad and
back to Gateway/or Panvel (Via S.T.).
Things To Be carried:
Identity proof (must)
Lunch For Sunday
A bottle of water (atleast 2 Ltrs),
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
2-3 bunch of papers
Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes,
Camera(Optional)
Cap, etc.
Medicines those if u require usually.
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking. Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

Its Raining heavy these days, so pack yr bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. Double pack your valuables in plastic bags.
