Marleshwar Temple: Tourists should visit this important temple in Sangmeshwar for devotion and natural beauty. We can see Sahyadri's huge precipice and river. We get a surprise when we reach Marleshwar in the pleasant atmosphere. At the right side we get the entrance of the cave and near the entrance of the cave, there is 'Kund' of cold water. When we enter the cave we can see Shri. Marleshwar. Friendly snakes and cobras are everywhere in the cave but noteworthy thing is not a single person has died because of snakes here.
If we go ahead, 'Dhareshwar' waterfall can be seen. The waterfall sight is very beautiful from the cave but we don't get an idea about the height of the waterfall from here. We will have to go beyond 'Karambeli Doh' for that.
Ratnadurg: Besieged by the charming Arabian Sea on the three sides, the massive Ratnadurga Fort presents a splendid look. A massive structure in the shape of a horseshoe, with a length of 1,300 meters and a width of 1,000 meters, Ratnadurg Fort was once a strong hold of the Maratha Empire.
Spread over a vast area of 120 acres, Ratnadurg Fort was under the Muslim rule for so many years. Now a collapsed structure, lying across two hills, Ratnadurg Fort gives a decrepit look.
Overlooking the Arabian Sea, Ratnadurg Fort offers the dazzling view of the sun going down the sea and the sweet sound of the pounding of the waves against the rocks makes a perfect symphony. Another specific attraction in the fort is the marvelous lighthouse situated in the bastions of the fort.
Once in the fame of glory, Ratnadurg Fort on the coastal line of the Konkan region is a perfect place to getaway from the trappings of the city life.

Pawas :
Pawas, a village with captivating natural beauty. This is a prime spiritual place in Ratnagiri district due to a very long stay of Swami (saint) Swaroopanand. Swami Swaroopanand was a follower of Warkari Sampraday ( Tradition).
Ganpatipule: Nestled in the greenery is a nearly 4000 year old landmark the Swayambhu Ganpati Temple (Swayambhu means a self-originated idol, Ganapati). It is flooded by thousands of devotees and tourists every year. Ganpatipule, the Lord of the 'ganas' or army and "pule" means sand dunes. It is one of the 'Ashta Ganapatis' (eight Ganpatis) of India and is known as 'Paschim Dwar Dewata' (Western Sentinel God).
Jaigad: Jaigad is sea fort that is located at the tip of a peninsula in Ratnagiri District, in the state of Maharashtra, India. Nestled on a cliff, it overlooks a bay formed where the Shastri river enters the Arabian Sea. [1] It has a commanding view of the bay and the open sea. A jetty port, and a lighthouse is located nearby. Although in ruins, most of the fort's outer wall and ramparts still stand. A deep moat surrounds the fort side not facing the cliff edge.
Velneshwar: Velneshwar is about 170 km from Ratnagiri, in Maharashtra, India. It's a sleepy, quiet village with a nice, clean and beautiful beach lined with coconut trees.
It is possible to swim there as the beach is free from rocks. There is an old Shiva temple near Velneshwar which is frequently visited by pilgrims; a haven for those in search of quiet mysticism in the ethereal presence of the master mystic - Lord Shiva.
This place is the root of the Gokhale, Gadgil, Govande, Savarkar,Velankar family and their deity. It is known that all Gokhale in the world originated from this place.
Gopalgad: The fort gopalgad is assumed to be built by Siddis during the beginning period of 16th century. Shivaji Maharaj later captured the fort in 1660. An adventurous trek for about a mile through the hilly trails will lead the visitor to the top of the ruined fort.
The hill breasts two small but attractive temples and a lighthouse at the top. One can get the stunning view of the nearby places from the lighthouse premises. This place offers all the exquisite beauty of the nature and is a challenging place for enthusiastic trekkers.
