Thank You for the Overwhelming Response to Leh-Ladakh bike trek cum tour scheduled in the month of July. On your demand we, at Trek Mates India have planned for the second batch for Leh - Ladakh Bike Trek cum Tour 2 from 28th July  to 15th August 2012


So put your all gears together, lets drive the road heaven on earth for bikers, off-roaders and photographers. This is what many of our mates missed last year... so we at Trek Mates India give you one more chance to experience the thrill again.. this year... in July-August.

announces 

Leh-Ladakh Trek cum Tour from 28th July '12 till 15th August’12.


And this year its not only for the bikers, but also non- bikers can join in. As we also plan to for 4 wheelers along with us for the whole plan.

The manali- Leh road is one of the most exciting and scenic biking trails anywhere across the country, crossing as it does four high passes over the great Himalayas and the parallel Pir Panjal and Zanskar range. The route which any bike lover would like to visit at least once in his life time. And the beauty which mesmerizes anyone in his first look.

Major Points that we cover in this tour:
1.      Manali – one of the most famous Hill stations of India.
2.      Five of the top 10 passes of the world.
3.      Khardung la – The Highest Motorable road
4.      Pangong Lake – the largest lake of Asia.
5.      Lamayuru – the Moon Land
6.      Tibetian style monasteries
7.      Katra Vaishnov Devi (if time permits)
8.      Dal lake – Srinagar’s Jewel
9.      Sonmarg enroute.... and many more beautiful and exciting places

     The planning for the event will be as follows: 

Day 1: 28h July: 

Start from Mumbai by Train by 11.30 am.


Day 2: 29th July: 


Reach Chandigarh by 4.30 pm

Collect bikes from the Railways.
Stay in Chandigarh.


Day 3: 30th July: 
Chandigarh to Manali - 310 Kms


Day 4: 31st July: 
Stay in Manali.(purposely for bike servicing)

Day 5: 1st August: 
Manali- Rohtang Pass- Koksar- Tandi- Keylong - 120 km Ride


Day 6: 2nd August: 
Keylong- Darcha - sarchu -Pang- 220 km Ride



Day 7: 3rd August: 
Pang Tanglangla- Rumtse- Upashi- Leh- 195 kms Ride



Day 8: 4th August:
Leh to Khardung La and back- 80 Kms Ride



Day 9: 5th August: 
Leh to Pangong Lake 170Kms
Stay at Pangong lake

Day 10: 6th August: 
Pangong lake to Leh 170 Kms


Day 11: 7th August: 
Leh to Mulbek 329 Kms Ride



Day 12: 8th August: 
Mulbek - Kargil - Drass - Jojila end - Sonmarg - Gagangir - srinagar – 242 kms Ride



Day 13: 9th August:
Gulmarg, Dal Lake, Local Sightseeing 150 kms ride



Day 14: 10th August:
Shrinagar to Katra - 290 kms Ride



Day 15: 11th August:
Katra to Jammu – 62 kms Ride



Day 16: 12th August:
Siteseeing and bike transfer from Jammu to Mumbai



Day 17: 13th August: 
Siteseeing and bike transfer from Jammu to Mumbai.



Day 18: 14th August: 
Start from Jammu in the morning.



Day 19: 15th August: 
Back in Mumbai



Total Bike ride: 2250 kms Approx.

Note:
People without bikes can opt for flight directly from Srinagar, in case they want to cut short the no of days of the Tour.
Also bikers can opt for flight from Jammu and their bikes will be sent by trains, which they will have to collect from Bandra Terminus. The details will be given accordingly.

The Expenses
The whole tour is on TTMM basis. Which means the expense will be shared equally among the members as well as the leaders and coordinators.
Trek Mates India will be charging Rs.3000 per head as expertise charges.
The approximate expense for the event will be Rs 25000/- for bike riders, or 30000/- for 4 wheel tourists.
Payment details:
One needs to pay Rs 10,000 as advance at the time of booking.

Please Note: 

It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. Doing so will ensure, that in the event of rain, even though your bag may get wet, your clothes will still remain dry!
