Little info about the place :


Govalkot – Maldoli Backwater :- Famous for Crocodile Safari (one can see the rare salt water crocodile in a natural habitat).

This village is situated on the bank of Vashishti river which gives you a feeling of being in Kerala. The small small villages on the banks of this river the picturesque nature the small islands in the back waters of the river, the peaceful climate far away from the noisy cities, the silent flowing water, soothing climate makes you forget the entire remaining world. But nowadays the tourists are more attracted to see the crocodiles in the river.
Many year before Ships from Arabcountries used to come at Karambavane harbour from their the goods were Transported to chiplune market in small boats and carraiages called at Maldoli. 



Then they were carried in bullockcarts to the market Since the goods were trasported in Maldolis from this village the village came became Maldoli.A carriage Made Specifically to carry goods



Guhagar Beach

The town is in Ratnagiri district known for its virgin beach, coir items, coconuts, betel nuts and mainly Haapus Alphanso mangoes. The nearest city and railhead is Chiplun, about 44 kilometres away. The economy of Guhagar boomed after the Dabhol Power Company, a few kilometres north was commissioned in the early 1990s. Hotels sprung up and residents were given well-paid jobs.
Guhagar beach is a white sand beach which is 6- 7 km long beach. It is situated within 200 metres from Guhagar town. This beach is safe for swimming. It offers a perfect place for sunbath, relaxation and meditation. The  offshore chat stalls make this beach an ideal spot for spending vacations.




Gopalgad

Gopalgad Fort is situated on a cliff at the meeting point of Arabian Sea and river Vashisthi. This fort was built by the Bijapur kings in the sixteenth century. It was named Gopalgad by Tulaji Angre Sarkhel in 1774. Gopalgad hill is a scenic, trekking place which is situated in the Anjanvel village. Anjanvel is an estuary island at the southern most bank of Vashishti River. Anjanvel is highly attractive with lush green vegetations, hilly terrains and calm and cool village surroundings.






Velneshwar Beach

Velneshwar Beach is a clean and a beautiful beach which is lined with an array of coconut palms. Velneshwar Beach is situated in Velneshwar village. This beach is also known as "Vasai Beach". As this beach is free from rocks, swimming and other water sports is possible here. Velneshwar Beach is a very nice and calm beach. There is an old temple of Lord Shiva situated near Velneshwar.





Vyadeshwar Temple

Shri Dev Vyadeshwar is an ancient shiva temple located at Guhagar, a well known Taluka place in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra State in India. It is considered to be the Kuladaivat or clan god of many Chitpavan Families from Konkan region.







Hedvi

Famous for Shri Dashbhuj Laxmi Ganesh Temple and scenic beach. This temple is in Hedvi town and 2 kms away from Hedvi Beach. After reaching beach you will find Uma Maheshwar Temple. When there is a high tide it is worth to watch the game of Sea water and Big Rocks. Hedvi is 20 kms South to Guhagar.

Day 2, 19th  May :

Reach Maldoli Village
Check in and Get Fresh
Visit Guhagar Beach , Gopalgad and light house at Anjanvel, 
Lunch Time
Explore Velneshwar Temple and beach
Evening Time Crocodile Safari @ Maldoli.
Dinner
Retire For the day.


Day 3 , 20th May
Wake up @ 6.00am
After Breakfast
Enjoy Boating @ Maldoli Back Water
Visit Hedvi Temple
Visit Govalkot Fort at Chiplun (If time permits)
Return Journey to Mumbai 
Lunch on the way

Few rules we would like our participants to follow: 
We follow a strict policy of "no trace" trekking, "Take nothing but memories and photographs, leave nothing but footprints".
Do Not Litter: Participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
No Smoking, tobacco and alcohol: Smoking cigarette, chewing tobacco or related products and consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited on the trek. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek. NO REFUND will be provided.
(Smoking will only be permitted before the trek starts and after the trek is over with prior consultation of the Leader and the person will have to move away from the group to smoke.)
Respect the Heritage: Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Please help us to conserve and preserve our heritage along with our trek mates.
Be a group: It is of utmost importance that all participants stick together in the group, in the event of any ‘deviation’ by the participant without the consent of the ‘Trek Leader’, he/she/they will be considered as ‘Independent/s’ and will no longer be considered as a part of the group.
Pay attention: Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.

In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Trek Mates India, it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.

Any violation of the above rules will be dealt with seriously, and may involve expulsion from the trek or event, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances NO REFUND will be provided.


The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
