TMI Tour to Ladakh from 8th to 15th Sept '12.




Hey Mates, the Ladakh biking tour this year had a very great response, wherein around 40 ppl participated for the event... But there were at least a same number of our Mates, who complained about their office leaves, the number of days, etc and therefore had to miss the fun.
So, hereby, we announce one more Ladakh tour for these mates of ours where a holiday of 6 -8 days won’t be problematic. Also this one can prove one of the best tours for the people who are at  a higher side of age. So even our parents can have the best of their site seeing till date.

Tour to Leh – Ladakh

8th to 15th Sept ‘12.



Major Points that will be covered in the tour:
Ø  Ladakh local sites: Indus river, Hemis Monastry, Thicksey Monastry, Shey Palace, Army Museum
Ø  Khardung la – The Highest Motorable road
Ø  Pangong Lake – the largest lake of Asia.
Ø  Tso Moriri Lake – well known for Ladakhi birds.


Major Feature: Interested ppl can opt for Bikes which can be rented in Leh for all these days, and can enjoy bike riding on one of the most exciting roads of our country.

The Planning for the event will be as follows:
Day 1: 8th Sept: early morning flight Mumbai – Delhi – Leh
Day 2: 9th Sept: rent bikes / Cars in Leh, Go for Local site seeing
Day 3: 10th Sept: ride till Pangong lake... stay in tents
Day 4: 11th Sept: Pangong to Leh
Day 5: 12th Sept: Leh to Tsomoriri... Stay  in tents
Day 6: 13th Sept: Tso moriri to Leh
Day 7: 14th Sept: Leh to Khardungla and back
Day 8: 15th Sept: Morning flight Leh – Delhi –Mumbai


The Expenses
The whole tour is on Actual cost basis. Which means the expense will be shared equally among the members as well as the leaders and coordinators.
Trek Mates India will be charging Rs.3000 per head as expertise charges.
The approximate expense for the event will be Rs 20000/- for bike riders, or 25000/- (for 4 wheel tourists.) For bikers, the cost might go lower than this.
Flight journey tickets not included.

Payment details:
One needs to pay Rs 10,000 as advance at the time of booking.

Hat / Cap 01 nos.
Clothes for warm as well as cold climate
Windproof Jacket 01 nos.
Leggings from a Track-suit, min 01pair, shorts,
Pair of sturdy sports shoes with rubber sole
Cotton Socks, Woolen Socks, min 03 pairs each
Raincoat / Poncho 01 nos. / umbrella
Torch with spare batteries, 01 set
Sunscreen lotion, min 30 SPF, Toiletries 
Medicines as specified by doctor
Camera, Cam charger, Mobile Charger.
Etc.

Please Note: 
It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. Doing so will ensure, that in the event of rain, even though your bag may get wet, your clothes will still remain dry!
