Velas is the birth place of Nana Phadnis, one of the great prominent personalities in Maratha history. Due to the sea-shore Velas is an existing place and it is situated nearBankot Bay. There is an old temple of Shri Bhairi- Rameshwar and in this temple all twelve months water is made available taking the benefit of favorable geographical conditions. A statue of Nana Phadnis is present outside his house. In Velas Mahalakshmi temple and Nana Phadnis house are the places to visit. Gokulashtami Festival is one of the important festival in Velas.Velas is also one of the popular breeding sites of Olive Ridley, which is an endangered species of turtle

Turtle Festival at Velas : The Turtle Festival at
Velas is annually organized by Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra (SNM) and the Kasav Mitra
Mandal (KMM), during the period of February to March. This festival is attended
by nature lovers, marine turtle enthusiasts, volunteers, known personalities in
the field of conservation, tourists and people who just want to witness this
moment, at least once in a lifetime!

Cost – The cost of whole trip is on Actual.
Which means the expense will be shared equally among the members as well as the
leaders and coordinators.
Trek Mates India will be charging Rs.100 per head as expertise charges. The approximate cost of the trip is expected to be INR 800-900 which includes Ferry charges, Refreshments & Lunch (veg).

valuables or luggage or any equipment; Trek mates India, it’s
instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or
partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any
manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians,
relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
Any violation of the above rules will be dealt with seriously, and may involve expulsion from the trek or event, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances NO REFUND will be provided.
The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
Trek mates India reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice. No arguments will be entertained.
