And guess what?? 


Trek Mates India Brings to you the same Bike adventure on the same routes of Bhalukpong – Tawang – Bumla... and to add to the adventure we will also ride to Cherapunji Caves, Shillong, and Kaziranga National Park.

Get ready for the Thrill from 5th to 20th Nov '13.

 Lets ride a land synonymous with beauty and diversity. Blue Mountains, Lush Green Valleys and beautiful rivers are an integral part of it. Situated in the Eastern Himalayas, this region shows a great deal of diversity in terms of culture, ethnicity and scenic beauty. 



The planning for the event will be as follows:
Day 01: 6th November: Assemble at Guwahati.

Day 02: 7th November: Guwahati—Bhalukpong (220 Kms)
After breakfast ride to Bhalukpong (260 Km), Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.
 
Day 03: 8th November: Bhalukpong—Dirang (134 Kms)
Morning ride to Dirang (165 km 8hrs). Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium, Lunch at Bomdila, after lunch visit to Bazaar gonpa n upper gonpa, later drive to Dirang. Overnight at Hotel, Dirang.

Day 04: 9th November: Dirang-- Tawang. (130km)
After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river and inhabited by colourful tribals, proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) spend some lovely times by the Paradise Lake and overnight Tawang.

Day 05: 10th November: Tawang Exploration
Full day explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during 17th century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama. Later trek/ride to gyangong Ani Gomap, which are the adobe of nuns.Gyangong ani gompa is one of the oldest Ani Gompa in the Tawang District. It is situated in the lap of a far off mountain laced with natural scenery. This Ani Gompa is under the administration of Tawang Monastery. And on way back to town visit Bramdung chung anni gonpa, the oldest ani gonpa.

Evening visit Urgelling Monastery, situated 5km to the south of Tawang Township. It was here in 1683 Tsangyang Gyatso, the sixth Dalai Lama was born, later visit the 1962 war memorial. Overnight Tawang.


Day 06: 11th November: Off-road, excursion to China border (Bumla)
En route u can see lots of lake. After spending some time at Bumla pass (China Border) ride to Zimithang via Sangetsur Lake now popularly known as Maduri Lake, over night at Zimithang.

Day 07: 12th November: Bumla to Tawang
After breakfast visit the oldest and the largest stupa (Gorsamchorten) of the region and proceed towards Tawang, rest of the day at leisure, Overnight Tawang.

Day 08: 13th November: Tawang – Bomdila (171 Kms)
Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive to Bomdila, over night, Bomdila. 

Day 09: 14th November: Bomdila - Kaziranga (200 Kms)
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga, over night at resort/hotel.

Day 10: 15th November: Kaziranga National Park Wild life Safari
Morning elephant safari (1hrs) to see the wild life and in the afternoon start jeep safari to see the wild life at central range. Rest of the time at leisure.  Over night at resort/hotel.

Day 11: 16th November: Kaziranga - Shillong (253 Kms)
After breakfast ride to Shillong-check into your hotel. Evening stroll around police bazaar, Shillong’s prime location, overnight at the hotel

Day 12: 17th November: Shillong - Cherapunji (53 Kms)
After breakfast, drive to Cherapunji, en –route visit Shillong view point, Shillong pick and elephant falls. Breath taking beautiful scenery, deep gorges and roaring waterfalls like nohkalikai, mawsmai and kynrem falls by the side of shella road about 10kms. Visit Thangkharang park from where one can have panoramic view of Bangladesh. Also visit the mawsami caves and Rama Krishna mission in the heart of Cherapunji town, overnight Cherapunji.

Day 13: 18th November: Cherapunji - Guwahati (147 kms)
Transfer to the Guwahati for further journey,

Day 14: 19th November
Bike Transfers via Courier (also considered as buffer day.)

Day 15: 20th November: Fly Back to Mumbai


The Expenses
The whole tour is at Actual. Which means the expense will be shared equally among the members as well as the leaders and coordinators.
Trek Mates India will be charging Rs.4000 per head as expertise charges.
The approximate expense for the event will be Rs 30000/- for bike riders, or 35000/- for 4 wheel tourists. + Air Fare.

Please Note: 
It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. Doing so will ensure, that in the event of rain, even though your bag may get wet, your clothes will still remain dry!
