Trek to Alang - Madan on 15th and 16th March ‘14

Hi Mates, We at Trek Mates India, Invite you all for a Trek to Alang and Madan on 15th and 16th March ‘14 (starting on 14th, Fri night)

Some Information regarding the forts: Type: Hill Forts
Height: Alang- 4500Ft; Madan- 4900ft
Grade: Tough
District: Nasik
Region: Kalsubai
Base Village: Ambewadi

Alang (4852 ft):The beautiful Alang Fort lies in the Nashik region. Top of the fort is huge plateau. There are two caves on the fort for staying and 11 water cisterns arranged in a Cascade formation & a dilapidated storage room.

Mandan (4841 ft):Madangad is considered to be one of the most difficult forts to climb among all the forts in the Sahyadris. The area of the fort is quite small as compared to Alang and Kulang, its adjoining forts. There are only two water tanks on top of the fort. The area visible from the top of the fort is quite scenic.

The itinerary for the tour will be as follows: 
Friday
Night Start by second Last Kasara Local (starting 10.50 Pm fromCST.)
(Timings given below)

Saturday:
Alight at Kasara and travel till Ambewadi by local jeeps till 5 am on Saturday.
Start trek by 7, reach the col between both the forts till 11 am
Climb Madan fort & explore it till 3 pm
Get down & climb Alang till 6 pm.
Explore & stay on Alang.

Sunday:
Watch the sunrise explore d remaining fort, breakfast & start descending by 9 am.
Have our lunch in Igatpuri.
Reach Kasara by 5 pm approx.

The charges of the trek will be Rs 1600/per head, which includes
Travel expenditure from Kasara to Kasara, Food Facilities, Equipments and Expertise.

Things To Be carried: 
Lunch for Saturday, 
A bottle of water (At least 2 Ltrs), 
TORCH with extra batteries, Candles (compulsory).
A spoon, mug and a plate (a must) 
2-3 bunch of papers and proper bedding
2 empty polyethene bags for load sharing (approx 1.5 kg weight will be given to each candidate so pack your bags taking it into consideration)
Camera(Optional)
Cap, etc.,
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
Medicine those if u require usually (Optional) 
Good trekking shoes, 
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. so that one has ones hands free while trekking. Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

The train timings for the last Kasara local are as follows:
10:50 pm :CST
10:57 pm: Byculla
11:04 pm: Dadar
11:12 pm: Kurla
11:17 pm: Ghatkopar

11:27 pm: Mulund
11:31 pm: Thane
11:54 pm: Dombivali
00:03 am: Kalyan
01:18 am: Kasara
This local is fast till mulund and slow ther onwards.
Please reach the stations around 10 mins earlier, as missing this local will mean missing the trek.
