Valley of Flowers” is the name of the Himalayan area in Uttarakhand state in India. In 1931 the English mountaineer Frank Smythe stumbled across the Bhyundar Valley, an 8 km long glacier corridor in Chamoli -one of the district of Uttarakhand state .This area, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and carpeted with over 500 species of flowers, soon became a protected site.

Nature had designed this valley (3,658 m. to 3962 m) for the dedicated outdoors person. Nearly 10 km long and almost 2 kms wide, the valley is ringed with snow-capped mountains and watered by streams rising in the mountains. It is accessible from late April, but grandest from late July to the end of August. Literally hundreds of wild flowers bloom in this valley including the rare Himalayan Blue Poppy . A naturalist’s delight,the valley is reputed to be the largest repository of the wild flowers in the natural surroundings in the world over 300 species have been identified.

Flowers mostly orchids, poppies, primulas, calendulas, daisies and anemones carpet the ground. Alpine forests of birch and rhododendron cover a part of the area, and are home to tahr, snow leopard, musk deer, red fox, common langur, bharal, serow, Himalayan black bear and a huge variety of butterflies.

The Tentative Itinerary for the tour will be as follows:

Day 1: 2^nd August: Start from Bandra TT – Paschim Express

Day 2: 3^rd August: Reach Delhi by 11.00 am
                                Start by Shatabdi express by 3.25 pm from Delhi
                                Reach Haridwar by 7.25 pm
                                Travel till our hotel/ Resort by Private transport
                                Dinner and rest

Day 3: 04^th August: Haridwar – Govindghat
(Distance -300 kms, Travel time 8 to 9 hrs, Elevation: Govindghat- 1828 mts/ 6,151 ft asl)

Day 4: 05^th August: Govindghat – ghangariya
( Trek - 14 kms, Trek time - 5 to 6 hrs, Elevation: Ghangariya - 3640 mtrs Asl.)

Day 5: 06^th August: Ghangariya - valley of flowers – Ghangariya
( Trek - 7 kms, Trek time - 4 to 5 hrs, Elevation : Valley of flowers - 3500 - 3962 mtrs Asl)

Day 6: 07^th August: Ghangariya - Hemkund – ghangariya
( Trek - 12 kms, trek time - 3 to 4 hrs, Elevation : Hemkund sahib - 4632 mts, Asl)

Day 7: 08^th August: Ghangariya – Govindghat
(Trek - 14 kms, Trek time - 5 to 6 hours, Elevation : Govindghat - 1828 mtrs Asl)

Day 8: 09^th August: Govindghat – Rishikesh
(Distance - 300 kms, Travel Time - 8 to 9 hours)

Day 9: 10^th August: Rafting from Shivpuri 

Day 10: 11^th August: 7.45 am start from Haridwar

Day 11: 12^th August: Reach Vasai – 11.50 am / 12.30 pm Reach Panvel

Expenses

The cost for the tour will be INR 18,500/- Per person + Train Tickets.
