Prabalgad is situated on northeast side of
Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road. One can see it from express highway a V-Shaped
one. The Left one is Kalwantin Durg & right side is Prabalgad.
It is located on a plateau very close to Matheran. It was known as Muranjan until
it was taken over and renamed by the Maratha forces under Shivaji's rule.
There is a dense forest on the way till the top of fort Prabal. Historical
references indicate that Freedom fighter Umaji Naik made a stay here in 1826.

Kalavantin
Durg is situated on the northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road. One can
see from express highway a V-Shaped one. The Left one is Kalwantin Durg &
right side is Prabalgad.
The fort top commands an excellent view of the
surroundings with Kalavantin in the front. Matheran,
Chanderi, Shrimallang, Irshal Karnala, Manikgad, etc can be easily
identified.
The tentative itinerary for the Event is as given below:
Day 01:
Meeting Point: Panvel Station at 7:00 am.
Breakfast at Panvel
After Breakfast move ahead to the Base Village by Private Vehicle.
Introduction, instructions and start the trek @ 9:00 am
Reach the Machi @ 12:00 pm.
Lunch & Rest till 3:30 pm
After we move to Prabalgad
Reached Prabalgad Top @ 5:00pm
Explore the fort and start descending by 6:00 pm.
Reach the Machi till 7:00 pm.
Explore the fort and start descending by 6:00 pm.
Reach the Machi till 7:00 pm.
Spend Evening Time at Machi & Enjoy the Sunset
Post Dinner, Enjoy Camphire & Antakshari
Retire for the day
Day 02:
Wake up @ 7:00am
Breakfast
Post Breakfast Hike till Kalavantin atop in the Morning.
Explore the fort, and start descending by 10:30 am.
Back to the Prabal Machi by 12.00pm.
Lunch at Prabal Machi and Start our back journey by private vehicle.
Reach Panvel by 4.00 pm. (approximately)
Explore the fort, and start descending by 10:30 am.
Back to the Prabal Machi by 12.00pm.
Lunch at Prabal Machi and Start our back journey by private vehicle.
Reach Panvel by 4.00 pm. (approximately)
The charges for the trek will be Rs1000/- per head, which includes
