Saputara, Gujarat on 10-11th Jan 2015.

information about the ride:
Destination: Saputara, Gujarat
Route: Thane – Nasik – Saputara – Valsad - Thane
Total Distance: 600 kms approx.
Meeting
Point: Teen Hath Naka, Thane West at 06:00 am on 10th Jan 2015.
Saputara
hill station is perched on a plateau in the Dang forest area of the Sahyadri
range at an altitude of about 1000 m.

Saputara means the 'Abode of Serpents' and a snake image on the banks of the river Sarpagana is worshiped by the Adivasis on Holi.

Saputara has been developed as a planned hill resort with all the necessary amenities like hotels, parks, swimming pools, boat club, theaters, ropeways and a museum to ensure an enjoyable holiday in the cool of the hill.
Excursions from Saputara can be made to the wild life sanctuary in the Mahal Bardipara forest, 60 km. from here and to Gira Waterfalls 52 km away.
This
picturesque bike ride is also a delight for photographers.
Vansda National Park, spread across an area of 23.99 sq km, is around 40 km away from Saputara. This small and beautiful national park became a protected area in April 1979.

The approximate cost of the event will be INR 2000 -
2200 & we will charge INR 500 per head as an
expertise.
Please note the whole tour is on Actual. Which means the expense will be shared equally among the members as well as the leaders and coordinators.

Petrol and Maintenance cost should be settled by the bike
owner and the person accompanying him.
> In case, of a single rider, the petrol and maintenance charges has to be paid by him alone. (Trek Mates will provide info about a willing participant who can accompany you, and share the expenses. this depends on availability of such willing participants.)

One needs to pay INR 1000 (non - refundable) as advance at
the time of booking.
