Hampi is charismatic even in its
ruined state. It attracts thousands of tourists and pilgrims every year. Vast
stretches of boulder-strewn hills make the backdrop of Hampi unique. Dotted
around the hills and valleys are 500 plus monuments. Among them are
beautiful temples, basements of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient
market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury
buildings.., the list is practically endless. Hampi is a backpackers paradise,
the same way the pilgrims delight.

The Itinerary for the
event will be as follows:
Day 1: 29nd Oct
Morning
arrive at Hubli. Travel to Hospet (150 kms - 3.5 hours). Hospet is located at
few kms from Hampi, renowned for its Vijayanagara era kingdom ruins (UNESCO
World Heritage Site) and is a major Inbound and Heritage Tourism hub. Visit
Tungbhadra Dam, time permitting.

Day 2: 30th Oct
Visit
monuments in Hampi such as Hampi Ruins, Malyavanta Raghunathaswamy temple,
Virupaksha Temple, Hazara Rama Temple Complex, Vittala Temple Complex etc. For
a comprehensive converage of all monuments, full day is required.

Day 3: 31st Oct
Proceed
to Badami (130 kms - 3 hours). Badami is home to heritage monuments that date
from 8th Century and the area is considered to be cradle of Temple architecture
with many styles experimented. Visit Badami Cave Temples, Badami Fort and
Banashankari Amma Temple.

Day 4: 1st Nov
Morning
proceed to Pattadakal Temples. (22 kms) The group of 8th century
monuments in Pattadakal are the culmination of the earliest experiments in
Hindu temple architecture (UNESCO World heritage site). Then proceed
to Aihole. (first capital of the early Chalukyas and considered Cradle of
Temple architecture) (33 kms)
Proceed to Belgaum station. Catch train from Belgaum Station to your respective stations.

The Cost of the tour
will be INR 10,000/- per head.
