It is a rich experience to observe the plants and other life in Monsoon, the season in which mother earth is covered in unlimited shades of green.
Various fungi, creepers, climbers, bulbs sprouting after a long sleep, some grasses, can only be observed in monsoon. Multicolored butterflies, moths, spiders, amphids, flies, bugs and beetels add to the glory of the green. Each one of these have an identity, - a personality. It is a joy to learn about them from experts.
The trail proves to be very helpful to people in general and students of Botany, Biotechnology and Ayurveda in particular.
The tentative itinerary for the event is as given below:
Meeting Point: Main gate of Borivali National Park (Sanjay Gandhi Rashtriya Udyan).
Time: Morning 8.00 AM.
Start the Trail by 8.30 am
Lunch break by 12 noon.
End the trail by 4 pm.
The charges for the event are Rs 150/- per head, Which includes
the national park entry fees,
The trail fees,
Expertise.
Things to be carried:
Lunch for Sunday.
Identity proof.
A bottle of water (Atleast 1 Ltrs),
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
A note book and pen for taking notes.
Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
Good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
Windcheaters.
Its raining these days, so pack yr bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. Double pack your valuables in plastic bags.
