Hi Mates, We at Trek Mates India are glad to invite you for a One day Monsoon Trek to Chinchoti Waterfall , Vasai on 1st September '13, Sunday.

Grade : Easy

Chinchoti Falls :

Chinchoti falls are generally visited by picnickers through Kaman village on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. Very few people know the jungle path through Tungareshwar. In fact there are two jungle routes meeting at different spots near Chinchoti waterfalls. The track is narrow jungle path and one can easily get lost without the help of escorts. The sound of the rains drops and orchestra of insects gives an eerie but adventurous feeling throughout this trek. You hear sound of watercourses trundling down rock faces chatting at a high frequency before it comes in your view. This is the midpoint of the trek to Chinchoti. From this point you will be crossing the stream on few occasions to reach the main waterfall. The journey is a thrilling experience and the waterfall is a beauty. The memories of the 125 feet magnificent waterfall will be permanently etched on your mind.

The tentative itinerary for the Trek is as given below:

We will be starting with the Fast Train from Churchgate to Virar (Time table given below)

People may board the same train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly. (Get into second boggy from Churchgate side). Take

Churchgate - 06:08 am
Mumbai central  -  06:18 am
Dadar - 06:25 am
Bandra - 06:30 am
Andheri - 06:38 am
Borivili - 06:53 am
Vasai - 07:19 am

(Missing the train means missing the trek, So try to be on time)

Alight at Vasai Station

Breakfast at Vasai

Move to Chinchoti Naka by Local Transport

Reach Chinchoti by 9am
Walk for 20 Minutes to reach the Base Village
Introduction Round at Base Village
Start our Trek by 10am
Reach the Waterfall in just 1 Hours
Fun in the Waterfall
Lunch Time
Start Descending by 4 pm
Reach Base Village by 5 pm
Travel to Vasai Station by Public Transport
Evening Refreshment @ Vasai Station
Catch the Next Available Train from Vasai to Churchgate
Reach Mumbai by 8pm-9pm
Transportation from Vasai to Vasai
Breakfast and Evening Refreshment.

The cost of the trek will be Rs. 300/- per head 

which includes,
Transportation from Vasai to Vasai.
Morning Breakfast and Evening Refreshment

A bottle of water (At-least 2 Ltrs),
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
Good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
Windcheaters.
