SARASGAD: The fort was mainly used to keep a check on the surrounding regions. From the fort, Pali and all surrounding areas can be seen. Shivaji Maharaj brought this fort under Swarajya and spent 2000 Hon (the prevailing currency) for its reconstruction. Till independence this fort was under Bhor Sansthan.

SUDHAGAD : The only fort which was considered before Raigad for establishing as the capital of Shiv Swarajya, Sudhagad is a gigantic fort with a huge plateau atop. Tactfully fortified this was one of the mightiest and inaccessible fort of that time. A well built temple of Bhoraidevi is the only place for shelter atop. There is a deepmal in front of the temple. Few remnants of Tulsi Vrundawan lay in the vicinity. The main attraction on this fort is the Mahadarwaja at Dhomse side which is an exact replica of the Mahadarwaja at Raigad, and still is in good shape.
Located in the vicinity of Pali and endowed with about 50 acres plateau atop, Sudhagad offers a wonderful and an easy trek.
The tentative itinerary for the Trek is as given below:
Meeting Point: Khopoli Platform No.1 on 4th Jan 08:45am
We will be starting with the CST - Karjat Fast Local (Time table given below) (separate local from Karjat to Khopoli thereafter)
People may board the same Karjat train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly. (Get into second boggy from CST side)

Explore Fort & Start Descend @ 12:30pm
Reach Base village @ 01:30pm
Leave for Thakurwadi @ 01:45pm
Reach Thakurwadi @ 02:30pm & Lunch
Start Sudhagad Trek @ 03:30pm
Reach top on 06:30pm
Dinner @ 08:00pm (Post Dinner Campfire session if possible)

Explore the Fort & Start descend @ 10:00am

Members are requested to take return ticket till Khopoli.
Board the second last compartment which is the second one from CST side. Everybody will board the same local and we meet in the train itself.
The cost of the trek will be Rs. 1100/- per head Which includes,
