Hey Mates, We at Trek Mates India invite you for a Trek to “ Sandhan Valley ” on 22nd - 23rd March 2014 (Starting on 21st, Friday Night).


How about a trek where you do not ascend, a trek where you can stay in the night on the rock-bed near water-pond?
How about making khichdi together with minimal available resources, a fun in a bunch of lovely people?

2km long deep inside valley, 2 rappelling patches, Natural Water pond at the base and 2 hrs of trek. How about it?

Welcome to awesome trek to Sandhan Valley .


Sandhan Valley is situated in the western ghats of Sahyadri. The valley is located on the west side of beautiful Bhandardhara region near Samrad village. The village itself is located approx.  at 3000 fts above sea level. Valley is surrounded by Alang, Malang , Kulang, Kalsubai, Ratangad and Ajoba mountain range.

Grade of the trek  - Medium with 2 rappelling patches.

The itinerary for the event will be as follows:
Day 0: Friday night
We will be leaving by Last Kasara Fast Local.
Time Table -
00:14 pm :CST
00:22 pm: Byculla
00:32 pm: Dadar
00:49 pm: Ghatkopar
01:09 pm: Thane
01:31 pm: Dombivali
01:40 am: Kalyan
02:55 am: Kasara

It is advised to board the second last compartment of the train from your respective stations so that we can meet in the compartment itself.
Day 1 - Saturday
Reach Samrad by Private vehicle 
Morning Refreshment at base village
07:00 am – Start trek
Lunch Midway
05:30 pm – Reach at base, dinner, campfire & stay

Day 2 - Sunday
Wake Up early
Finish morning refreshments
Start descend towards Dehne
Travel Dehne.
Lunch & proceed for Asangaon
Reach Mumbai by Local train by 08:00 pm (depending upon the railway mega blocks)

The cost for the trek is INR 1400/-
Which includes Transportation from Kasara till Asangaon, 2 meals & Refreshments + Rappelling Charges.

Identity proof (must)
A bottle of water (atleast 2 Ltrs),
Lunch for Saturday.
2 Packets of Maggie.Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
Plates , Glass and Spoon
Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes
Camera, Cap, etc. (Optional)
Sleeping Bag or Proper Bedding
Sunscreen Lotion, Cap, Skarf
Medicine those if u require usually
A good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking. Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
